I was commissioned by Columbia Ballet Collaborative in New York in the Fall of 2017 to create a new work. I choreographed a large group contemporary piece in two sections, and it was performed at Manhattan Movement and Arts. The first section was set to Offenbach with a rhythmic undertone that cultivated an environment of segmented, gestural, and human movements. The second section was set to music by Joshua Piper with a lush, sensual, and round sensation and a deeper focus on a central couple. The moments of repetition and changes in perspective remind us that we can always begin again. Thank you to Saskia Randle and Columbia Ballet Collaborative for this wonderful opportunity.
